What are the spiritual effects of nuclear energy (radioactivity)?
What an interesting question! If I could star you I would. (But I can not) I am not sure about this in terms of Eastern religion, but Native American peoples believe that the earth is physically and spiritually linked with the people that live on it. Radiation has the power to pollute food, water, animals..and make the land unlivable for people. This has a direct effect on the inhabitants not only because of the obvious reasons, but because of the spiritual link between Mother Earth and the Native people. There was even a study done, I dont remember when, when elders from 25 or 26 tribes were asked to explain why transportation of radioactive waste poses serious threats. The key that seemed to come up with each was that the material would not only effect the physical land, but the spirits of animals, and human souls alike.
