In city life, there is paucity of space and very few can afford to live in bungalows, so multi-storied flats have come to stay. As per Vaastu Shastra, there is no specific guidelines for flat system. But the basic rules of the Shastra should be applied during the construction. In this regard, it is preferable to have four flats per floor so that maximum open area can be provided with the natural atmosphere. In case a building has one or two flats per floor, it is advisable that there are offsets in every floor, by which each of the flats may have sufficient exposure to natural environment.
