What are the special characteristics of the femoral component?
The femoral component has been optimised to allow optimum bio-mechanical function, combined with favourable pressure distribution on the polyethylene insert. This allows the favourable pressure loading to be maintained even in slight varus and valgus postures, as well as during physiological rotation. This feature, together with the high surface quality of the UHMW PE tibia insert and the highly-polished inner surface of the tibia component, results in a very low degree of wear. Thanks to the specially extended patellar track, pressure distribution of the patellar polyethylene is also optimised up to a flexion angle of 90°.
