Tanya – 60 isn’t elderly! Personally, I think there are too many rubbish drivers on the road full stop. I find many young drivers inconsiderate, aggressive and lacking in awareness of the impact their driving has on others. Middle aged drivers are apparently the worst for drinking and driving. Some really elderly drivers are past it – especially those who only drive once a week. Driving is considered a right by most people. Kill someone and they generally ban you for a year or two. Get caught drinking and driving and it’s the same story. My view is that these people should lose their licences for ever because they are a menace to the rest of us. Driving is a privilege, not a right.
