What are the smallest bond pads the Tiles can probe?
The smallest bond pads probed with a Celadon tile to date are 40 x 40 micron with a 2 micron passivation overlap over a 125 C temperature range on a T40 tile. For narrow temperature ranges, Celadon has cards working on 30 x 30 micron pads. Generally, maintenance costs and alignment times decrease with larger pad sizes. The product pages on the web site indicate minimum pad size for the maximum spacing for each probe card size for a temperature range. This is dependent on prober positioning system and whether pattern recognition systems are used to ensure good probe to pad alignment.
