What are the small wine glasses used in italian restaurants and where to find them?
If you check a restaurant supply you can probably find the exact same ones. There are several different kinds of small glasses used for different wines and liqueurs so it’s hard to tell exactly which you’re talking about. You have brandy snifters…which really should be large, but most restaurants use small ones, cordials which they serve aperitifs in, the typical small wine glass which really isn’t appropriately sized for wine, but lets cheap restaurants give you a free glass without it costing them too much, schnapps glasses, used of course for schnapps and aquavit…and many others. If you go to the Riedel website, they have an online guide to the different kinds of glasses there are for different beverages (it’s pretty extensive), but you should find a name for what you’re looking for, or find something even better, there.
