What are the SLEB Goals?
Year 2000 • Focus attention primarily on issues related to the Countys professional services and maintenance services • Enhance the SLEB program web site to better outreach, inform and educate SLEBs • Work closely with economic development staff to increase opportunities for SLEBs in both private and public sectors. This includes developing partnerships with customers and service providers who enhance the utilization of small businesses • Develop policies and procedures for the program • Analyze data of patterns of departmental spending Year 2001 • Meet quarterly with the various County departments to review and analyze the SLEB utilization and establish specific plans and strategies to achieve Board of Supervisors directives • Design and implement a comprehensive outreach plan to increase the number of County certified firms in the SLEB database • Continue to work with the departments that have influence over construction spending to increase their utilization of SLEBs • Recognize tho
