Both interventions are geared towards parent instructions of language skills and both include strategies to encourage language/communication development through the use of an augmentative communication device (visual-graphic symbols on a voice output communication device). Both interventions are also developmentally play-based and consist of 3 routines of playing with toys, reading books, and eating a snack together.
