What are the signs and symptoms of prostate cancer?
Most cases of early prostate cancer cause no symptoms and are found by a prostate specific antigen blood test and/or digital rectal exam by a doctor. Symptoms of advanced prostate cancer include hematuria (blood in the urine), impotence (difficulty having an erection), and pain in the pelvis, spine, hips or ribs. It is important to remember that these symptoms may also be present with other diseases.
