What are the signs and symptoms of pink eye?
• Usually begins with red swollen eye(s). • The eye is often itchy and/or painful. • The infection turns the white of the eye pink or red. • There may be a lot of watery or pus discharge from the eye. After sleeping, individuals may have thick yellow discharge which makes the eyelids stick together. • It can take 24 to 72 hours for symptoms to appear after coming in contact with pink eye. • If left untreated, pink eye can last from 2 days to 2-3 weeks.
