What are the signs and symptoms of peritonitis?
Someone with peritonitis will have abdominal pain, a high temperature, nausea and vomiting. They may also be peeing less than usual and have difficulty pooing. If peritonitis gets worse, they may develop chills as well as a fever, and may go into shock. Symptoms usually appear very quickly and you will find any pain gets worse if you try to move around.
