What are the side effects?
Both fluorescein angiography and indocyanine green angiography are considered very safe, and serious side effects from these tests are uncommon. However, there is the possibility that a patient may have a reaction to the dyes. While fluorescein contains no iodine and is safe in patients known to be allergic, indocyanine green is currently formulated with iodine and should not be used in individuals with any known allergies. Some people may experience slight nausea after the dye injection, but the feeling usually passes quickly. Patients who are allergic to the dye can develop itching and a skin rash. These symptoms generally respond quickly to oral medications such as anti-histamines or steroids. Very rarely, a sudden life-threatening allergic reaction called anaphylaxis can occur. This condition requires medical treatment. There is also the possibility of an infiltration of the dye into the skin at the injection site; this may cause some discomfort or discoloring of the skin for sever
Side effects are not common with Finasteride, and in any case, after dosage is completed, the side effects die away. In some rarer cases however, the side effects can be noticeable. As with all drugs, proper usage and care should reduce the effect of any side effects that are experienced. As with all medicines, from aspirin to major medical treatment programmes, there is always the possibility of suffering from side effects. However, most people tolerate the drug quite well with the minimum of noticeable effects. And when they do occur, they are relatively minor, and can be easily managed by yourself or with some low-level medical care from your doctor. Less than 1% of users do report a degree of erectile dysfunction as a possible side effect. Erectile dysfunction is a lack of function of the penis. This means that when sexual activity tales place, the male may not be able to achieve or maintain an erection. Even less common than erectile dysfunction is the condition called Gynecomasti
The most common side effects are headaches, lightheadedness and facial flushing, which occur in about 15% of men. Other reactions include nasal congestion, indigestion, and back pain. Blue-tinged vision is even less common. In almost every case, these side effects are mild and temporary or fleeting. The use of PDE5 drugs is associated with a rare condition called Nonarteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION). It is a poorly understood disorder that can cause blindness. Fortunately, the number of cases is very small in relation to the millions of men who have used ED pills successfully. Its not clear that there is a cause-and-effect relationship between ED pills and NAION. Another rare side effect is a prolonged painful erection (priapism). If an erection lasts more than 4 hours, you need emergency care. Most recently, a few men who have taken a PDE5 drug have developed sudden hearing loss. Similar to NAION, it is not clear these drugs are the actual cause of the hearing probl
Since you probably feel I’m being all preachy, let me get right to it. Hydroquinone has been known to cause blood cancers such as leukemia and kidney damage in animal studies. What happens when hydroquinone is applied to the skin is that it gets absorbed into the blood stream and excreted via the kidneys but at a slower rate. Essentially, this means that that hydroquinone accumulates in the body and is broken down in the bone marrow to p-benzoquinone. This is where long term damage may originate. Several countries, such as France, have banned the use of hydroquinone for fear of cancer risks.
