my best friend is taking aricept and getting worse i have known her 30 years and within 4 months she lost 100 lbs. the drs.say she has dementia i donot think she does, it came on too sudden A: Encourage her to go to a neurologist. Or have her family take her. Or you take her. Someone should go with her. If she is having these problems, she should not be left to her own devices. That is how elderly people wander off and freeze to death.
