What are the seven stages of grief?
Stage one of grief is shock and denial. You may not believe the reality of what has happened and this could go on for weeks. Stage two is pain and guilt. You may feel the pain is unbearable or start to feel guilty of what you did or did not do. Stage three is anger and bargaining. You start to place blame or feel “why me”. Stage four is depression, reflection, and loneliness. This is when it really hits you what has happened. You isolate yourself and friends may tell you to move on but their words at this stage to not help you. Stage five is the upward turn where you start to get your life back together and feel less depressed. Stage six is reconstruction and working through. You start to seek solutions to your problems. Stage seven is acceptance and hope. You realize what has happened, happened and although you still feel pain, you start to look forward to the future.
