What are the selection procedures for identifying Sportspersons in IndianOil?
Ans: Sports persons are engaged after identifying their performance in various tournaments or through their respective National federation or existing players of IndianOil or both. A selection committee is formed for interviewing the candidates. A suitable Competant Authority approves recruitment based on the recommendations of the committee. Sports persons already under contract with outside agencies, on the day of consideration of engagement, for endorsement of products shall be considered for engagement only if they terminate the contract with other agencies. If they are unwilling, they will not be considered. The purpose of recruiting sportspersons is to nurture their talent early on and enhance their performance at the National and International levels. Hence, among others, the Chief criterion in selection is the promise the sportsperson holds to reach greater heights in his or her chosen discipline at the National and International Levels.
