What are the scoring guidelines for Bowl Pickem?
Entries earn points two ways in Bowl Pick’em. An entry may earn points first for correct selections. An entry earns 1 point for non-BCS bowls and 5 points for BCS Bowls. The second way for an Entry to earn points is based on the Bonus value that they attribute to each matchup. An entry earns the value of the bonus points assigned to each correct selection. If your group uses a spread, please note that even though you may choose the correct winner of a given game, you may still not be awarded the points for correct selection and bonus value. A point spread is the predicted scoring difference between a game’s two opponents. If picking the favorite, that team must win by more than the value of the point spread. If picking the underdog, that team must lose by less than or tie the value of the point spread (or win the game outright) to cover the spread and be the winning pick. If the spread is not covered by the favorite, then the underdog wins the matchup. For instance, if the spread is 4.
