Bruce Lipton, PhD, a cellular biologist who proved that cell behavior is controlled not by our genes, but by our perceptions of (and reactions to) the environment. Among Dr. Lipton’s discoveries is the fact that DNA is not the “brain” of the cell. If you remove the brain from any organism, what happens? In short order, it dies. Dr. Lipton removed the nucleus of cells (which contains most of the DNA) and noticed that the cells continued to live for two or three months! Ultimately he discovered that the “brain” of the cell is the cell membrane, the part that interacts with its environment. Our beliefs, perceptions, and conscious choices affect our cells and determine whether they are in growth or protection mode. When we’re in a fear state, our resources are used for protection. In growth mode, our resources are used for cellular repair and renewal. Dr. Lipton’s research validates the concept that each of us creates our own reality.
