What are the Scholarship Program requirements?
• Academic: Each Simon Scholar must adhere to minimum GPA requirements by grade level in high school: • 2.5 GPA end of sophomore year • 2.7 GPA end of first semester of junior year • 3.0 GPA end of junior year • 3.0 GPA throughout senior year • NOTE: Requirement for college is to maintain “good academic standing” with the college or university attended as a full time student. • Communication: Each Simon Scholar must log in weekly under the Student Portal on the Foundation’s website. Additional communication via email or phone calls is encouraged regarding issues, concerns, questions, achievements and successes. Face-to-face meetings with the Program Coordinator will vary by region. Scholars are required to submit the following documents at the end of each semester to the respective Program Coordinator: • Community Service: Each Simon Scholar must complete a minimum of ten community service hours per year. • Participation: Each Simon Scholar must participate in all Foundation meetings,
