What are the salient features of the Act?
The Act recognises the right of the user other than the buyer also to sue the manufacturer by defining the word consumer to include user also. It empowers an individual consumer or a recognised consumer. Association whether the consumer is a member of such association or not to file a complaint in respect of affective goods or deficient services.
