We have a career grade for Social Workers and Senior Social Workers which ranges from £28,770 – £37,851. The salary scale for Consultant Social Workers (currently Children’s Services only) and Principal Social Workers is £37,851 – £40,506. All these posts in Children’s Services are eligible for Performance Related Pay (PrP). In the Department of Adult Social Services, only Senior Social Workers at the maximum of the pay scale are currently included but we hope to eventually extend PrP to all posts from 1 April 2010.
