What are the safety margins for conductive and non-conductive petrol pipes?
Voltages that have been recorded with non-conductive pipes give a safety margin of between 1 and 8 times the measured voltage. As these measurements do not represent the worst case, it can be concluded that safety margins are at best small, and provide no guarantee that incendive discharges will not occur.
