What are the rules regarding poultry exhibition in Minnesota?
Except for waterfowl and pigeons, poultry must be individually identified with a leg or wing band and have a negative test for pullorum-typhoid disease within 90 days prior to the opening date of the exhibition; OR originate directly from a parent stock flock tested and found negative for pullorum-typhoid disease within the last 12 months. Turkeys must be negative for salmonella typhimurium and mycoplasmas. Testing is available at the Minnesota Poultry Testing Laboratory (MPTL). For more information, see this year’s poultry exhibition rules.
