What are the rules on withdrawals?
You can withdraw up to 500 cash each day, if there are enough cleared funds in your account. Larger amounts may be withdrawn by cheque. Please check the terms of your account carefully for any limits on withdrawals. If you withdraw money from an account which requires notice, without giving us that notice, this may result in a loss of a sum equivalent to interest on the amount withdrawn. This will be charged to your account the next time you would normally receive interest, or when you close your account if this is earlier. It may reduce your capital balance if you haven’t earned enough interest on the account. Withdrawals can be made during branch opening hours, which are usually between 9am and 5pm weekdays (excluding bank/public holidays) and 9am and 12 noon Saturdays. Some branches are open for longer. Withdrawals made by children under seven years old must be confirmed in writing by their parent or guardian.
