The Division of Parks has a Rule (1501:47-3-14) “No Wake Zones” – stating that a person cannot operate a vessel within or through a danger zone or shore zone or an area marked as “No Wake” at anytime at a speed that produces a wake. A wake is defined as a track left by a watercraft in the water causing waves that may cause discomfort, injury, or damage to persons, watercraft or property. The shore zone for Indian Lake is a uniform width of 300 feet lying parallel with and contiguous to the shoreline. There are a few state parks, that due to size, the shore zone is 100′, such as Lake Loramie or Delaware Lake.
