WHAT ARE THE RULES OF THE LAB?
• You must have an active UNF ID to utilize our workstations. • Workstations are not available for reservation, they are provided on a first come, first serve basis. • Alteration of the equipment or furniture is prohibited. • No food or drink is permitted at workstations in this facility. You may leave these items in the designated area. • Game playing and use of the lab for business or other non-scholarly activities is prohibited. • A child may accompany his/her parent in the lab as long as he/she does not use the computers, occupy a vacant computer station, or disturb other lab patrons.
No Food or Drinks are allowed in the lab. • Video, DVD, headset, and other such resources are intended for use solely in the FLTC. They are not to be taken anywhere else. No overnight loans to students is allowed. Students have to leave their ID for any loans and return it before the lab closes. • Log off after using your computer. • Printing to the lab printer should be related to your foreign language course. No multiple copies are allowed.
• Always remember to log off your machine before leaving. • NO FOOD or DRINK is allowed in the lab at any time. • Save often and make back-ups (save to your Y:/ drive)!! • Please be courteous and respectful towards your colleagues, i.e. talk quietly. • Respect the lab and the equipment. • The use of cell phones is prohibited. • Print only what is NECESSARY. • Use of machines for academic purposes takes precedence over use for recreational purposes. Please adhere to the above rules at all times. Using the lab is a privilege which may be revoked if these rules are not followed. Thank you. 12. DO I HAVE TO COME TO CAMPUS WITH A LAPTOP? Yes. Starting back in Fall 2002, Framingham State College began requiring all incoming freshman to own a wireless laptop. Beginning Spring 2003, Framingham State College began requiring all transfer students to own a wireless laptop. 13. DO I HAVE TO BUY THE RECOMMENDED LAPTOP?
