This is more commonly known just as "bowling." Each player tries to roll a bowl down the lane and knock as many pins down as possible to score points.

You have 10 frames in which to knock down pins. Frames 1 through 9 are composed of 2 rolls each. Frame 10 may contain up to 3 rolls depending if you score a strike or a spare in the 10th frame.  A strike means that the player has knocked all 10 pins down on the first ball; a spare means that all 10 pins are knocked down by the second ball.
When you score a strike, you win 10 points plus the points for the next two balls thrown.
A spare earns you 10 points plus the points for the next ball thrown.
Anything else is added normally.
The maximum score possible in bowling is 300, otherwise known as the perfect game.

u throw the ball down the lane and hit as many pins as you can. if your foot crosses the black like at the beginning of the lane it is a foul and you get 0 points for that frame. If you get a Spare(/) then you get 10 points plus however many are scored in the first shot of the next frame. If you get a strike(X) it is 10 plus however many points you get total in the next frame, but, if you get 2 strikes in a row then it is 20 points plus however many you get in the frame after that. For example, if you get a strike in the 5th frame, a strike in the 6th frame, and 9 pins in the 7th frame. you will get 29 points for the 5th frame, 19 points for the 6th frame, and 9 points for the 7th frame.
