What are the rules for yard trimmings?
• Pickup of yard trimmings is an optional service that you must arrange for with your hauler and pay for directly. It includes collection of grass clippings, leaves, brush, shrub and tree prunings, nursery and greenhouse vegetative residuals, Christmas trees, maintenance trimmings (other than mining, agricultural and silvicultural). All materials must be in suitable receptacles (not plastic bags). Limbs less than four inches in diameter and under three feet long must be tied in a bundle weighing no more than 50 pounds. Stumps, roots, shrubs with intact root balls and treated wood are not allowed. Your hauler can provide more information.
