What are the rules for sabbatical or study leave?
Sabbatical leave is available at the rate of 1 term (year) in 7 terms (years) and is paid at full salary (unless someone else is contributing to your salary during the leave period). You have to apply to the university for it, stating how you will use it. Provided you have a case to make, and I approve it, it is never normally refused.
