What are the rules for recording radio and TV broadcasts?

0

The University has an ERA (Educational Recording Agency) Licence, which allows members of University staff to record radio and TV broadcasts for use in their teaching, or for retention in collections. This covers BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, and S4C, including digital channels owned by these companies. It does not cover broadcasts by the Open University or Open College. Cable, digital and satellite channels not owned by the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 or S4C may be copied freely for educational purposes.
