Generally, from what I understand, is that the guys in special ops have a more relaxed dress code because they have to fit into different populations on very short notice so they are allowed to have longer hair, stubble etc. They can’t always look “military.” Tattoos pose a problem, especially your’s, because they make you conspicious. Tattoos aren’t common in some countries and so having them will make you stand out which a SEAL shouldn’t do. Honestly, unless you are outright ordered to remove them by your recruiter, I wouldn’t remove them or anything until after you finish your training. Becoming a SEAL is extremely difficult and it would suck big time if you went through all the trouble of having them removed and then you rolled out. Good Luck! Dena P.S. The SEALs have their own official web site–you might get a better answer if you went to that web site and posted your question there.
