What are the rules about smoking in the army?
Right now, the let you smoke sometimes. You don’t get to smoke in basic training. You don’t get to smoke in many areas. You don’t get to smoke accept when they tell you can. For security reasons, you don’t get to smoke in the woods (or desert) or on patrols if you are training or in combat. You can currently smoke in uniform, but they are considering regulations to make it against the rules to smoke in uniform or on base. There are many times when you can’t smoke but you can use chewing tobacco. That will probably be limited the same as smoking if this regulation goes into effect.
