What are the rule interpretations concerning ADMs?
Instructor training requirements for instructors of an ADM of a driving safety course were put into effect on October 7, 2002, and they are listed at www.tea.state.tx.us/drive/adm_idc.doc The following interpretations were put into place by TEA as of June 22, 2004: Internet ADMs are no longer required to use a timer-pause mechanism to stop the page timer if the student leaves the ADM. Page timers are still required, but they do not need to pause if the student opens another application. Written security policy and procedures are required to be in place prior to initial approval; however, they do not need to be submitted for review. In lieu of submission, the applicant may state that the policies and procedures required in the Rules [Title 19, Texas Administrative Code, Section 176.1110] are on file and available for review by Division staff.
