The County Council has applied for the powers to undertake LAPE. The County and City Councils have agreed that the City Council will undertake enforcement as agents to the County Council using a private contractor (Legion Parking Services) to provide parking attendants. Following guidelines issued by the councils, Parking Attendants will be responsible for issuing Penalty Charge Notices (parking tickets) to people who ignore parking restrictions and park inappropriately.
