As young people grow, their capacities and mentalities change as they mature and learn. Their lives during this period of growth are for exploration and creating their own identity. This is both a positive and negative aspect. On the one hand, it is a period of development when creativity and imagination thrive. On the other hand, it can seem confusing and overwhelming which may cause them to make rash decisions. As a result, at what degree should youth exercise their rights? Should adults determine whether a decision is harmful to young persons, or should young people determine this for themselves, as a learning process and form of evaluation?
