What are the roles and responsibilities of the navy rank structure ?
Non commissioned officers in the navy are 3rd class petty officers and above. They are enlisted. In the navy they are still worker bees until they pick up the rank of Chief Petty Officer in which time they will be in charge of there shop. Commissioned officers in the navy are in charge of sections for the lower ranking ones and units for the higher ranking ones. They get paid alot more.
