What are the roles and responsibilities for teacher and supervisors relative to HC-TSAT?
Supervisors will, in concert with their staff, develop individual professional development plans (yearly) based on each teachers self assessment, the teachers interests, course schedule, and other district needs. The following benefits will be realized: • Teachers will be responsible for continuous improvement through PD opportunities based on their self assessment, their PDPs, and district and/or departmental initiatives. • Teachers may act as mentors for other teachers. • Teachers may consider sharing their knowledge by developing new PD opportunities. • Supervisors should continue to encourage teachers to feel safe in taking risks. • Supervisors should look for ways to organize opportunities for teacher collaboration and professional development. • Teachers and supervisors should discuss the methodologies used in delivering content. • Teachers and supervisors should assess the impact of technological methodologies on instruction and achievement.
