You also need to know that in the instance of further surgery being required to the breasts, the surgeon will be unlikely to be able to use the original incision sites, so you may end up with some scarring after all. There are some breast surgeons who regard the transaxillary and transumbilical procedures as creating extra risks of the surgery going wrong. On the flip side, there are also surgeons who believe strongly that this is not the case, provided the surgeon has the necessary level of expertise.
