What are the risks involved with facelift surgery?
A facelift is a surgical procedure and as such should be carried out by an expert surgeon under ideal surgical circumstances. As with any surgical procedure, there are inherent risks. A facelift is generally considered a very safe procedure with minimal risks and complications. However, a detailed discussion of the risks is always required by the surgeon. A facelift, as it only involves the skin and subcutaneous fat, is generally not a particularly painful procedure, which is why it is so amenable to being done as a day only procedure.
