Hey there… While the majority of the ingredients are somewhat “safe” — even three years after expiration, the primary concern is with the acetaminophen content. And while most* expired medications are unlikely to be harmful, it is important to analyze the risks versus the benefits of using them. In your case, you have a fairly safe, stable drug which is -probably- okay (this depends in part on the environment, temperature, amount of sunlight, ambient light, etc., that the bottle was exposed to)… but it is a drug that you do not need a prescription for, and is comparatively inexpensive (compared to prescriptions meds that can be $100+ per pill, for example)… the risk is simply not worth the benefit.
