What are the risks and side effects of Mesotherapy?
Many Mesotherapy results can be seen quickly and the procedure is considered safer than Liposuction or other invasive surgical procedures. Most of the negative side effects concern bruising which can be limited by avoiding alcohol, aspirin and anti-inflammatory medications (Advil, Midol, Aleve, etc.) several days before treatment. Do not stop taking any medications without first consulting your doctor. Less common side effects involve infections and allergic reaction to the chemicals injected. There are no long term case studies of Mesotherapy in the United States however Mesotherapie has been performed in other countries since the 1950s. If you have any concerns be sure to write them down and discuss them with the Mesotherapist at your consultation. Click here to locate a Mesotherapy clinic in your area.
