What are the risk of an untreated yeast infection?
Although untreated yeast infections can be uncomfortable and may create painful episodes for a woman, serious health hazards are rare. Yeast infections will often resolve on their own, especially during the menstrual cycle due to the pH changes which cause yeast to die off. One potentially dangerous, yet very rare, condition that could occur is sepsis, is the infection is bad enough to get into the blood.
