What are the Rights of a Nursing Home Resident?
As a nursing home resident, there are rights that apply. For example, you have the right to be treated with dignity. You also have the right to privacy, the right to disclosure regarding your medical care and/or condition, and the right to handle your own money. If a nursing home violates your rights, you should contact the Department of Social Services and/or your individual caseworker immediately to report the incident.
