What are the rights and responsibilities of tenured and non-probationary personnel as it relates to transfers?

0

The Superintendent will likely recommend the transfers of tenured and non-probationary personnel prior to February 1, 2005. Once the transfer is proposed and notification is provided, tenured and non-probationary employees have a right to a due process hearing before the Tuscaloosa City Board of Education. To receive a hearing, a written demand for a hearing must be received by the Superintendent within fifteen (15) days of your receipt of the notice of proposed transfer. If a hearing is not requested, the transfer shall be final. Employees may reference Code of Alabama 16-24-5, 16-24-6 and 16-24-9.
