According Alberta Environment’s Guidelines for the Application of Municipal Wastewater Sludges to Agricultural Lands, biosolids may be applied to forages, oil seed crops, small grains, trees, and commercial sod. Biosolids applications are not permitted under current provincial guidelines on root, vegetable, fruit, or tobacco crops, or dairy-pasture lands.
