What are the restrictions on passwords used in RTM installation?
A. During RTM installation, you are required to enter two passwords. One password is for the nGenius server user account login user (for which the default name is “administrator”), and the other password is a stealth database password. • nGenius user account password restrictions: • 1 to 15 alphanumeric characters, or no password. • No nonprinting characters, such as spaces or tabs. • Database password restrictions: • 1 to 15 alphanumeric characters (the first character must not be a number). • No nonprinting characters, such as spaces or tabs. • No Sybase keywords. • Must meet certain security requirements on Windows system. For example, the administrator may set security settings that require all user passwords to have a minimum number of characters, or to contain special characters, such as *, #, $, or %.
