The ASPSU President acts as the officialspokesperson for the students as a whole, within and without theUniversity. The President determines the direction and goals of theASPSU and is responsible for the proper functioning of programs andgovernance processes. The President is also responsible for coordinatingoutreach to the students of PSU and the recruitment of studentsnecessary to carry out the purposes of the ASPSU, including theappointment of student representatives to all-university committees aswell as other University committees whose actions may affect members ofASPSU. The Vice President isresponsible for monitoring the actions, proposals, policies, andprocedures of all local, state, and other governing bodies that mayaffect PSU students. This includes administrative and academicresponsibilities and procedures of the University for their impact onstudents. In addition, the Vice President calls and presides over theStudent Senate.
