What are the responsibilities of the authorized agent in a standard export transaction?
• Accurately prepare and file the Electronic Export Information (EEI) record based on information received from the U.S. Principal Party in Interest (USPPI). • Obtain a power of attorney or written authorization from the USPPI. • Retain documentation to support the information reported to the Automated Export System (AES), as specified in FTR section 30.10. • Upon request, provide the USPPI with a copy of the EEI filed on its behalf.
