What are the responsibilities of the apprentice and the employer?
Apprentices agree to: • work as an apprentice and be trained in the trade or occupation by the employer; • show caution and respect for the tools and equipment, goods and property of the employer and avoid any damage or waste of them; • show caution and respect for the goods and property of the employer’s customers; • cooperate with the Apprenticeship Training Officer, appointed by the Minister responsible for the Apprenticeship and Trades Qualification Act, in monitoring and recording apprentice’s progress, and in scheduling in-school training; and • attend the required in-school training classes for the trade or occupation.
