What are the responsibilities of being a Director of First Calgary Savings?
• Attend Board of Directors meetings • Actively participate in Board orientation, training and development, and self and peer assessment programs • Lend judgement to Board decisions • Comply with the duties and responsibilities of being a Director as set out in the applicable provincial and federal legislation • Be adequately informed to vote knowledgeably to promote the best interests of First Calgary Savings and its member-owners • Promote and abide by all decisions and positions taken by the Board of Directors • Report to the member-owners on the performance of First Calgary Savings • Act independently and ethically, and avoid conflicts of interest • Respect the confidentiality of First Calgary Savings
