What are the responsibilities of a Work-Study Employer?
• To provide appropriate training and supervision • To ensure student has an accurate idea of the duties, hours of work and job performance expectations when they are hired • To ensure students are paid promptly for hours worked through the hiring departments payroll officer. Q. If I listed a Work-Study position last year do I need to re-apply? YES. Returning employers MUST re-list each year and be assigned a new job order number. Q. Is my Work-Study proposal approved when I receive a job order number? NO. Your Work-Study proposal will be assessed by Admissions and Awards in August to determine approval. The job order number is given to you by the Career Centre when your listing has been processed. Q. When do I find out if my Work-Study position has been approved?
